IN-HOME PERSONAL USE

The patented SDS Transfer Vest will revolutionize transfers at home while reducing the risk of injury to both the caregiver, as well as the loved one.

The Neoprene poncho-style vest acts as a padding agent to protect your loved ones' skin, which in turn eliminates discomfort underneath the arms from manual transfers. The vest minimizes the risk of skin tears, bruising, even broken bones, especially those with osteoporosis. The patented design allows caregivers the ability to stabilize the upper torso using our 90 degree transfer protocol (download PDF from Home page "Instructions"), while using the ergonomically placed handles on the outside of the vest. Imagine, you now can transfer your loved one without touching their skin! Once ambulated, the caregiver can also use the handles to assist their loved one when walking to and from the bathroom, car, or even during physical therapy.

Often times, family members are unfortunately placed in Senior Housing communities solely based on the fact that the caregiver sustained an injury while transferring their loved one. Manual transfers, which means literally having to arch the caregivers back in order to physically "grab" the loved one up under the arms, is very stressful on the back, shoulder, even arms. Again, using our suggested transfer protocol, the caregivers back remains straight, thus reducing the risk of injury.
